A UK medical training is one of the best in the world. Medical training enables a career in health care industry which is a rapidly developing industry. With a UK medical training one can work as a health care professional or a health care technician. The health industry offers a wide range of jobs and everyone need not be a doctor. As the demand for well qualified health care professionals continues to grow, a UK medical training will be a rewarding career option. Medical schools offer a wide range of courses designed to specially meet the requirements of the health care industry. Vocational and trade school medical training paves the way for lucrative jobs in the medical industry. Students have the option of specializing in dental assisting, dental hygiene, medical billing and coding, medical transcription, nursing, therapy, radiology and ultrasonography among several others. Vocational and trade schools which offer medical training programmes usually begin with courses in medical terminology, infection control, physiology and anatomy. After this, they become more specialized usually and it depends on the line of work that the students want to choose. Patient Care Technicians have to be in constant contact with patients as they are responsible for providing the patients with extensive daily care, maintaining health records, recording vital signs and reporting to supervising medical professionals like nurses or doctors. They are taught to take blood samples, give injections and to perform laboratory tests like x-rays, electrocardiograms and other diagnostic tests. They are also taught to record medical histories pf patients and explain treatment procedures and the number of times and the time of the day when medicines need be consumed to patients. UK medical training also affects the medical industry in the rest of the world. The UK General Medical Council and the UK Home Office have made or are making some changes to UK medical training. Professor Neil Douglas, the President of RCPE, is a member of PMETB and is Chair of the UK Academy of Medical Royal Colleges Education Committee. He is also a part of other committees like the MMC and the GMC. Decentralization of responsibility for the health care industry has resulted in some related groups under the MMC banner in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. |
